I have had many travel experiences and stayed in good accommodations with good people, but the kindness of the hotel owner here was a different experience. Another level. He was the best hotel owner I've ever had and made my trip to Rome great. I will definitely come back here again.

Fantastic family run hotel in the heart of Rome. Great location it's very close to the Colosseum, forum and two metro stops and certainly within walking distance of most attractions in Rome. There are lots of great restaurants in the area. The hosts were very helpful and accommodating and the hotel is very clean and comfortable. Two added bonuses, there is a small kitchen on every floor and an early breakfast can be left for you if you are out before breakfast is served, there is also a roof top terrace/bar with a fantastic view of Rome, perfect for a glass of wine before dinner.

Great location and excellent customer service. Had a great experience staying there. The staff was so friendly and helpful. I was a solo traveler (running the Rome marathon) and they made my stay feel like home.

Wow !!what a place Pierfrancesco Maritti was very welcoming all the staff were very helpful . The whole place was amazing the decor was so different loved the quirkiness of the whole accommodation. The rooms were very comfortable and cleaned everyday beds were so big and comfortable. Loved the Breakfast room the pastries were yummy . The roof bar was great had great views could see for miles . I will def be recommend this place to anyone who going to Rome . Also was in a great location had a lot to see .

Our stay at Residenza Maritti was just amazing! The staff were so helpful and kind - I have never seen a service like that, huge thanks to you guys and the owners for the hospitality. Our room was very cozy and quiet. Also, the location is just perfect! Short walk to all the main historical sights. We will definitely be back one day!

Beautiful old building, charmingly furnished and clearly well looked after. The staff is outrageously kind and helpful. The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. The location is unreal: not just for the obviously stellar view from the gorgeous rooftop, but because Monti is a wonderful neighbourhood to wander around and had fantastic restaurants and bars.

The entire experience was exceptional. I loved every minute I was there. I was a sole traveler and I was looking for a place to stay that would be both convenient to historical sites and a REAL Roman experience. I found both in this charming 16th century home. I especially enjoyed the lovely breakfast every morning in a bright and beautiful room. Casual but also very classy. The food was delicious - and there was so much to choose from. And excellent cappuccino! Throughout the building you see antique furniture and paintings. Also, there is a wonderful rooftop terrace with an incredible view of the Roman Forum and many other gorgeous landmarks of Rome. I spent a couple of evenings up there enjoying a nightcap and simply soaking in the wonderful ambience of the city. I could also hear beautiful music being performed across the street - including opera! Brothers Pierrefrancesco and Gianluca, Alessandra, Barbara, and all the others are simply wonderful and did everything to ensure a great experience. I felt like a guest in a fine home - and it is a fine home that has been in the Maritti family for more than a century. I was very sad to leave! I told them I will return one day. I can't imagine staying anywhere else the next time I visit Rome. I highly recommend this lovely place that I'll never forget.
